31 Days of Halloween at Club KennyK

Hello crafters!

It´s spooky times over at Club KennyK Facebook group as we are celebrating 31 Days of Halloween. There will be four mini challenges during this time starting this week with the theme "sentiments". Lots of prizes to be won and much more. So come on over and join all the fun.

Our wonderful DT Co-ordinator and FB administrator, Regan, has a lovely surprise for you. I just found out that she´s designing her own sentiments and starting an etsy shop, you just have to have a look at them, they are awesome!!! and right now she gives some of them away for free. Also check out her gorgeous Halloween project featuring Foxy Mama and one of her own sentiments. I love it!

For my project I´ve used a non Halloween image, Wedding Garter, together with one of the KennyK Halloween sentiments, Black Widow. You can find them at www.kennykstamps.com. The KennyK Halloween sentiments are one of this months "one dollar deals" at the shop.

I´ve colored her skin in green and her dress in black with Polychromos pencils. The card is in black and white with a touch of
"metal". And lots of spiders...

There will be 3 "one dollar deals" at the Club this month...

... and the Newsletter freebie is

with the bonus sentiment
"Ultimate Girl Power"

Recipe
I made my card using black and white cardstock. The spider webs are made using dies from Memory Box and Cheery Lynn. The bats and the tree are from Tim Holtz dies. To get the "metal" frame around the sentiment I´ve used aluminum tape on cardstock. The four pieces are cut out with a Spellbinder die embossed with the Tim Holtz Halloween plate and colored with black acrylic paint and when dried, rubbed with a towel. All metal embellishments are from Tim Holtz, including the spiders (I love that faucet knob, must buy more of them). I´ve colored the spiders with acrylic paint from Prima/Finnabair in the color metallic silver spoon to get the right look. The spider web at the upper left corner, "Potion no 31", "Happy Halloween" and "BOO" are embossed in black and from a set of Halloween stamps but I don´t remember where I got them from.

Thanks for visiting!
Have a spooky day!
Hugs, Lisa
